Ana McCabe teaches a soulful flow centered around Breath- Yoga Sutra philosophy and soothing Mantra in Savasana. She loves sharing this ancient practice and weaving the 8 limbs into her alignment based approach. Her Vinyasa classes are a combination of fun playful exploration and deep inner reflection. Ana’s ultimate goal is to guide you inwards so that you can listen and connect to your true infinite nature.
Ana was born and raised on Mexico’s Pacific coast in Zihuatanejo. She discovered Yoga in 1997 at home when she was 17. She found the book Be Here Now by Ram Dass on her mothers bookshelf and was mesmerized by the concepts presented. She practiced the 13 asana at the end of the book and had one of her first spiritual awakenings during savasana where she felt a great sense of connection and union with all of nature. From this moment on she began her Yoga studies and has continued as a student first and foremost on the infinite path of Yoga. Her love for surfing and nature took her to Hawaii where she studied and received her Hawaii State Massage Therapy License and was introduced to the Mysore Style of Ashtanga Yoga under Normal Allen. Yoga helped her surfing progress and she surfed on Mexico’s National Surf Team and travelled to many beautiful places around the world. Ana found her main teacher, Bhavani Maki, on the island of Kauai and has been studying with her for 13 years. She has completed many Teacher Trainings and Yoga intensives on Kauai and around the world, highlighting her time in India in 2009 where she studied at an Iyengar center at the foothills of the Himalayas and felt deeply humbled by the practice of this ancient science in its birthplace. Ana loves Bhakti Yoga and believes that Chanting and the Yoga of Sound bring an awakening in the heart-anahata chakra, that will help heal us as individuals and as a whole. Ana has been teaching Yoga full time since 2008 in Mexico, Hawaii, Costa Rica and California. She believes that Yoga heals and uplifts us to live our most joyful life possible and has tremendous gratitude to the Yoga lineage and feels honored to share the gift of Yoga.
